Design & Artwork

Our in-house brand expertise means that we are your best choice to develop an existing brand, or create you a vibrant new brand identity from conception.

With current market research and our knowledge of various sectors, we are able to develop a brand by designing targeted solutions.

We are firm believers that each stage of the design process requires a ‘hands on’ approach. Our team of designers work closely with you combining our creative skills, with your industry knowledge to provide creative solutions that will maximise your business identity or corporate brand.

Whether its business cards or full colour brochures, it’s not just ink on paper. With a time honoured in-depth knowledge of the printing industry we’re the team you can trust, we’ll discuss your needs and offer the most economical printing process for your project and an accurate, extremely competitive quote.

Our highly efficient print processes guarantee to produce your work to an exceptionally high quality, to the tightest deadlines even within hours when needed.

We’ll guide you from initial concept and artwork development, right through to digital proofs, so you can see exactly how good your finished job will look.

Signs & display

The latest technology in our sign department gives you the right brand recognition and reflects the image you need to portray.

Whether you are looking for simple internal signage, large illuminated outdoor display, shop frontage or pavement A-board, we will advise you on the right products and the best look – all within your budget.

Various in-house techniques allow us to produce high quality signs using a variety of base materials. Laser cut letters and photographic quality large format printing enable us to produce distinctive signs and banners.

Our team of skilled fitters and well equipped vehicles ensure your finished product is complete to the highest standard.

Vehicle Wraps & Graphics

Produced using vinyl cut graphics, applied in a variety of colours, metallics and reflective films. Computer-drawn profiles of your vehicle shows you exactly what your livery will look like prior to application.

For major visual impact we use full custom digitally-printed vehicle graphics. Small printed images to a full-printed vehicle wrap, our in-house facilities enable us to apply photo quality digital prints wrapped around every contour of your vehicle.

As well as van livery we also offer one off custom vehicle graphics and replica team graphics. We are recognised suppliers throughout both 2 and 4 wheel motorsport.

Our custom-built fitting bay offers a safe, convenient location for your vehicle graphics to be applied. We can arrange to fit your graphics at any location to minimise downtime and inconvenience to your fleet.

We offer a full web and on-line consultancy service. From the outset we’ll discuss your requirements over a coffee, and we’ll best advise you with an on-line presence that will work for you, from domain purchase registration, website design, build and implementation to hosting, with as much functionality as you require, all within your budget. Our designers and developers build each website with search engine optimisation to ensure your customer finds you on-line. We can work with a number of platforms including content management system options so it’s really easy to update your website yourself, or we can offer an ongoing site update and maintenance  program to leave you to get on with your business.

If you’re after an ecommerce website, look no further. We have a solution that won’t break the bank, and will soon have you up and running, selling your wares!

Stephen Ward

Stephen Ward

Director - Creative

I started my career, at a large advertising agency, as a young and enthusiastic designer with interdisciplinary skills in print and design. These award winning years of experience, gave me an expert knowledge and understanding. I specialised in all aspects of design from traditional branding, corporate identity and packaging, to conceptual retail exhibition stands and transport livery. My natural career progression bought the creation of Graphix in April 1993. Along with my brother, Simon, we have developed an excellent team all skilled to enjoy multiple projects, delivered under tight deadlines. I have an unnerving attention to detail that has passed through the guys here. I’m really proud of our journey thus far and I aim to further develop Graphix - continuing as a professional and well respected company. I enjoy working closely with our clients, helping them to articulate their vision. Meeting such a wide variety of ‘characters’ during my day to day business, makes life here interesting! Filling my hours outside of Graphix, my family keeps me pretty busy and I love socialising! I’m battling with the Spanish language and I can often be found off & on the piste as a ski coach, rattling round the woods on my mountain bike or donning my leathers & heading off to the Peak District on my Yamaha R1.

Simon Ward

Simon Ward

Director - Production

After leaving school I took an apprenticeship and trained as a litho printer, also gained a diploma in design. My brother (Steve W) and I set up Graphix in 1993. We worked from our parents home while renovating an old Working Mens' Club into the purpose built studio we 'live in' today. Never shy of hard work, we have created a reliable/professional team, each person focussed on specialising in their own area of Graphix. I do like the constant 'banter' throughout the team and relaxed atmosphere we have created here. Our customers soon feel at ease when they pay us a visit, and often join in our random conversations! I tend to spend my days concentrating on Print Production and the Vinyl Graphics / Display side of life here at Graphix. My interests outside Graphix are motorbikes on and off-road, jet skiing, squash, cars, generally having a good time. I can often be seen on my fields in my 4wd Tractor, either mowing grass, ploughing or muck spreading! (which is not great for mine and Steves' motocross training!)

I started working for Graphix at the age of 16 as an apprentice. In my time here I've learned everything from pre-press, print press operating, print finishing, routine maintenance. I'm also part of the signage/display team, wrapping vehicles, finishing, making up and fitting signage. I enjoy my job as everyday is different.
